1. Why should I use a prepaid phone card?

A prepaid phone card provides several major advantages.

Savings
Prepaid phone cards often offer much lower domestic and international long distance rates than the residential service from the major phone companies. Using prepaid phone cards could save 70% or more off your long distance phone bill.

Convenience

Prepaid phone cards enable you to enjoy low long distance rates no matter where you are. You can call from home, office, pay phone, cell phone, or hotel with a peace of mind.

Controlling Your Spending
Prepaid phone cards can help you budget your phone expenses. Say your budget is $40 per month, just charge $40 on your phone card. A voice will remind you how much you have left each time you make a call. You can also check the remaining balance on your phone card through MyAccount.

Substitute for Collect Calls
Prepaid phone cards are ideal substitute for collect calls from your family members. Collect calls are expensive. On top of that, your family members cannot leave messages on your answering machine. Give your family members prepaid phone card so they can call you whenever they want and save your money.

3. What are the differences between the phone cards you sell?

We offer two types of prepaid phone cards.

  • Extra Clean -- 1 minute rounding, No Maintenance Fee. These phone cards are suitable for short calls.
  • Clean -- 1 then 3 minutes rounding, 49 cents weekly maintenance fee. These phone cards are designed for frequent long calls. As a rule of thumb, if your calls average 30 minutes or longer and you spend $30 or more each month, these phone cards provides more savings.

4. Why are the rates to foreign cell phones much higher than the rates to landlines?

The reason is that most foreign countries, expecially European countries, charge much higher rates for international access to their cell phones.

If the rate to cell phones in a country is not listed, you can figure it out this way. First, check your balance online through MyAccount. Then, place a call to the cell number you'd like to call. Please hang up after you hear the system announce the number of minutes available. Divide your balance by the number of minutes available, you will get the rate to that cell phone. Alternatively, you can email us the cell phone number, we will be happy to find out the rate for you.

5. How can I trust the rate if you claim that "Rate subject to change without notice"?

Typically, a prepaid phone card will pass through several dealers and distributors before it reaches the actual user. The service providers do not know who are the end users. Therefore there is no way for them to inform the end users for any rate changes. The disclaimer, "the rates are subject to change without notice", releases the service providers from legal liabilities resulted from any rate changes.

MyPINphonecards.com always stands by what we claim on the website when you placed the order. If you get less minutes due to a rate increase, please stop using your phone card and contact us as soon as possible. We will give you a refund for the unused balance on your phone card, or charge the missing minutes back to your phone card.
